2Pac and Keefe D

2Pac Murder Trial Faces Further Delay as Keefe D Secures Continuance

Duane “Keefe D” Davis, a central figure in the 2Pac murder trial, has experienced yet another delay in the case as he awaits his arraignment. Represented by his new attorney, Ross Goodman, Davis secured a two-week continuance, shifting his arraignment to November 2, according to the decision made by Judge Tierra Jones.

The case’s prolonged duration and recent developments have raised several issues, with one major obstacle being Suge Knight’s refusal to testify. The former Death Row Records co-founder, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter, recently reacted to Keefe D’s arrest by Las Vegas police.

Suge Knight expressed his surprise at the arrest, saying he played on the same Pop Warner football team as Keefe D and wouldn’t wish prison upon anyone, regardless of their involvement in the case. Knight also stated his belief that Orlando Anderson, Keefe D’s nephew, was not the shooter on the night of 2Pac’s murder.

While Keefe D is the only remaining suspect still alive, he is alleged to have orchestrated the hit as retaliation for an earlier altercation between 2Pac and his entourage with Orlando Anderson. The fatal drive-by shooting occurred hours later, resulting in 2Pac’s tragic death at the age of 25.
