50 Cent Announces New ‘Power’ Series as ‘Book IV: Force’ Comes to an End

Renowned rapper and producer 50 Cent has exciting news for fans of his popular ‘Power’ franchise on STARZ: a new series is in the works, even as ‘Power Book IV: Force’ prepares to conclude.

50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, recently took to Instagram to share an announcement from actor Joseph Sikora, who portrays Tommy Egan. Sikora confirmed that ‘Power Book IV: Force’ will end after its upcoming third season. He emphasized that this decision was driven by the show’s creators rather than the network executives.

“When Gary Lennon and the other writers and I were mapping out our third season, we saw that we were telling a complete story,” Sikora explained. “This was the perfect opportunity to stay true to our artistic vision and make this the final chapter in Tommy’s journey in Chicago. But don’t worry, Tommy’s journey is far from over. We’re just getting warmed up, and I can’t wait to show you what we have planned next. […] Tune in, ’cause ghosts never die, and power never ends.”

The announcement, which was also shared by STARZ and Sikora’s official Instagram accounts, was accompanied by a message from 50 Cent confirming that the ‘Power’ universe would continue to expand. He teased more projects in the pipeline, hinting at exciting developments without giving too much away.

“I’m glad all the fans have been so supportive of FORCE,” 50 Cent wrote. “We have more heat coming, my Power Universe is still expanding… wait till you see what I have up my sleeve, you haven’t seen the last of Tommy…… [bomb emoji] BOOM.”

The news follows the December announcement of the third season of ‘Power Book IV’ and the renewal of showrunner Gary Lennon’s deal with Lionsgate Television. Lennon’s continued involvement ensures that the ‘Power’ franchise remains in creative and capable hands.

In addition to ‘Power Book IV’, discussions have begun around a new prequel series titled ‘Origins’. This new spin-off, as revealed by 50 Cent in a March 13 Instagram post, will focus on the early lives of the original ‘Power’ characters. “You asked, I answered,” he captioned the post. “Young Ghost and Tommy coming your way. Power Origins now in development.”

While details about the cast for ‘Power Origins’ remain under wraps, including whether original stars Omari Hardwick (Ghost) or Joseph Sikora (Tommy) will be involved, fans eagerly await more updates on the evolving ‘Power’ universe.
