50 Cent Celebrates 16th Anniversary of “Curtis” Album with Racy Throwback Photos

On September 11, 50 Cent marked the 16th anniversary of his 2007 album “Curtis” in his characteristic bold fashion. The rap mogul took to Instagram to reflect on the milestone, sharing a series of risqué throwback photos from a photo shoot with his ex-girlfriend, Ciara.

In his Instagram post, 50 Cent acknowledged the significance of “Curtis” and the tumultuous period during its creation. He wrote, “I dropped this album 16 years ago today, I had so much shit going on in the street. I was writing Curtis 187, I told @tonyyayo these fools crazy they think I’m scared. so we have an advantage, they stupid. LOL.”

50 Cent and Ciara collaborated on the 2006 track “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone,” which reached No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The two artists later embarked on a romantic relationship in 2007 but eventually parted ways in 2010.

While some fans acknowledged the album’s anniversary, many couldn’t help but focus on the racy photos featuring Ciara from the throwback shoot. Some comments addressed Ciara’s current status as a married woman, with one fan writing, “Yo, that’s someone’s wife now Fif. Take these posts down! Lol,” and another jokingly mentioned her husband, Russell Wilson, stating, “I’m sure Russell Wilson punching air if he seeing this post.”

Meanwhile, on the sports front, it was a challenging Sunday for Wilson, whose NFL team, the Denver Broncos, experienced a disappointing start to the season with a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

In contrast, Ciara and Russell Wilson have exciting news on the personal front as they are expecting their third child together, with Ciara recently revealing her baby bump for the first time last month.

As for 50 Cent’s “Curtis” album, it famously faced off against Kanye West’s “Graduation” in a high-profile sales battle in 2007. Kanye’s “Graduation” emerged victorious with 957,000 first-week sales, while “Curtis” achieved 691,000 in sales. In a 2012 interview with XXL, 50 Cent explained that the competition was a marketing tactic to boost sales, as he and Kanye had no real animosity toward each other. The rivalry generated significant buzz and led to higher-than-usual album sales for both artists.
