50 Cent Claims Hacking Incident Linked to $3M Crypto Scam

Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent has firmly denied any involvement with cryptocurrency, despite recent activity on his social media channels suggesting otherwise. The G-Unit leader took to Instagram to address the situation, revealing that his website and X (formerly Twitter) account had been compromised.

In his post, 50 Cent wrote, “My Twitter & Thisis50.com was hacked. I have no association with this Crypto,” accompanied by screenshots of posts related to a $GUNIT memecoin. He further explained, “Twitter worked quickly to lock my account back down. Whoever did this made $3,000,000 in 30 minutes.”

Currently, ThisIs50.com remains offline. While the New York Post and XXL have reported that the scam generated $300 million, this figure contradicts the rapper’s claim of $3 million.

Aside from the hacking incident, 50 Cent’s legitimate business ventures have recently been recognized. In early May, he received the Entrepreneurial Leadership Award from the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship. The award was presented by “Power” actor Joseph Sikora, who praised 50 Cent’s entrepreneurial spirit.

“There is no one more befitting of an award for an entrepreneur than Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson,” Sikora said. The event, highlighted by MSNBC host and chief legal correspondent Ari Melber, aimed to raise funds for young entrepreneurs from underprivileged backgrounds.

During his acceptance speech, 50 Cent expressed his gratitude, saying, “I do want to say thank you to all of the teachers, all of the mentors, and all of the volunteers who support G-Unit to this point, because without them, the organization wouldn’t be as successful as it is.”
