50 Cent Praises Abstinence, Says It’s Helping Him ‘Train Harder’

Renowned rapper and G-Unit mogul 50 Cent is singing the praises of his abstinent lifestyle, revealing that the decision not to engage in sexual activity has provided him with newfound focus and determination in his fitness journey.

Sharing a glimpse of his transformed physique on Instagram on Saturday (January 20), the Power executive producer attributed his disciplined approach to training to practicing abstinence. In the caption accompanying the post, 50 Cent expressed, “I’m focused, man. Practicing abstinence is helping me train harder. I feel great; I think more people should try it.”

Earlier this month, the rapper hinted at his commitment to abstinence for the year as part of a strategy to stay focused on his ambitious goals. In a social media post, he shared, “My new idea is so big, I don’t have time to be distracted. I’m practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals. I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level.”

Looking ahead to 2024, 50 Cent has a packed schedule, particularly in the realms of film and television. Notably, he is working on a TV series based on Eminem’s 8 Mile, promising it to be “just as big as the feature film.” Additionally, he is developing an unscripted TV series centered around Margarito and Pedro Flores, twin brothers from Chicago who transitioned from being prolific drug dealers to cooperating with the DEA against Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

Several other projects are in the pipeline for 50 Cent, including the creation of Vice City, a show set in Miami during the mid-’80s, following three friends and former soldiers involved in the Iran Contra scandal. Another project, Fightland, explores the narrative of a retired disgraced world champion fighter drawn into the corrupt underbelly of the sport.

Having signed a production deal with Fox last year and established his own film and TV studio, 50 Cent maintains a strong presence on STARZ with multiple shows, including three Power spin-offs and BMF.

In the realm of music, 2024 holds the potential for a return of 50 Cent as a rapper. In a previous conversation with radio host Big Boy, he hinted at plans to reunite with Dr. Dre for an upcoming project.
