In his Instagram post, Khaled remarked, “This is very beautiful and means a lot to me and my family.” He also extended his gratitude to the audience, emphasizing the importance of inspiration and his commitment to giving back through initiatives like the We The Best Foundation.
Acknowledging the proclamation, which highlighted his musical excellence, entrepreneurial success, and cultural influence over two decades, Khaled expressed his determination to continue making a positive impact.
Despite the celebratory occasion, DJ Khaled has faced criticism for his silence on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where thousands of Palestinians have lost their lives and millions have been displaced during the conflict with Israel. Fadie Musallet, a businessman and alleged cousin of Khaled, voiced disappointment over the DJ’s lack of advocacy for Palestine, given his Palestinian heritage.
