Afrobeats star Burna Boy recently shared that his success has elevated him to a financial status exceeding that of prominent Nigerian politicians and oil magnates he once admired.
In a post on his Instagram story on Saturday, Burna Boy encouraged his followers never to underestimate the younger generation. Reflecting on his financial journey, the Grammy-winning artist wrote, “Growing up, only oil men and politicians were seen as truly wealthy, with ‘G boys’ following behind. Music wasn’t even part of the money conversation.”
He added, “Now, an ‘ugly black musician from Port Harcourt’ has more money than 90% of the people he once considered as wealth models.” Burna Boy further advised fans to keep an open mind about others’ potential, suggesting that today’s unknown figures could rise to levels comparable to global icons like Elon Musk.
