EA Confirms Free-to-Play Battle Royale Mode for Battlefield 6
Electronic Arts has officially revealed that Battlefield 6 will include a free-to-play Battle Royale mode alongside its core premium title.
The announcement confirms earlier reports that the next instalment in the Battlefield franchise would expand into the free-to-play space. While EA has not released extensive details, the Battle Royale mode will feature both a traditional experience and a more competitive option called “Gauntlet.”
Players will get their first hands-on with the new mode through Battlefield Labs in the coming weeks.
EA and Battlefield Studios also shared the dates for the Battlefield 6 beta, which will run over two weekends before the game’s full release.
Battlefield 6 is scheduled to launch on October 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
