Grammy-Winning Singer Talay Riley Dies After Fatal Stabbing in London
UK-based Nigerian-British singer and songwriter Talay Riley has reportedly died following a stabbing incident in East London.
The artist, whose real name was Mark Yinka Orabiyi, was said to have been attacked on June 5, 2026, in the Silvertown area of London.
According to reports, the 35-year-old sustained multiple knife wounds during the incident, which occurred on Pankhurst Avenue at about 9 a.m.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that emergency responders attended the scene, but despite efforts by paramedics to save him, Riley was pronounced dead at the location.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing, with homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command leading inquiries into the case.
Talay Riley was known for his work as a singer and songwriter and earned recognition within the British music industry, contributing to a number of successful projects throughout his career.
