Actress Kiitan Bukola Opens Up About Her Fear of Marriage

Nollywood actress Kiitan Bukola has revealed her apprehension about marriage, citing personal experiences and a desire to provide a stable home for her future children. The actress shared her thoughts during a recent appearance on the Talk to B podcast, where she reflected on her upbringing and relationships.

Bukola disclosed that her fear of marriage stems from a lack of a traditional family structure during her childhood. “I didn’t enjoy the love of a father and mother together,” she said. “I never lived with both parents, and the fact that I don’t even know some of my father’s children, being part of a family of close to fourteen, is something that weighs on me.”

The actress expressed her longing to give her children the fatherly care she missed. “I love marriage, but I’m scared of it at the same time,” she said. “I want my children to experience a father’s love in a stable home. I don’t want them to grow up in a separated family.”

Bukola emphasized the importance of finding a supportive and prayerful partner who understands her career. “My ideal man is someone understanding, prayerful, and stress-free. I want someone I can call my best friend and who appreciates the difference between my job and our home.”

Reflecting on a past relationship, she shared how a partner once asked her to return payment for a role, highlighting the challenges she has faced balancing her profession and personal life.

In November 2022, Bukola announced her engagement, but the relationship ended just two months later over allegations of infidelity. Despite her fears, the actress remains hopeful about finding the right partner who aligns with her vision of a loving and supportive marriage.
