Opening with a nod to “The Office,” featuring Brian Baumgartner in the role of a company CEO, the video quickly transitions to a stadium-sized ping-pong match and a competitive chess game reminiscent of the iconic Louis Vuitton campaign featuring soccer stars Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The rivalry between the two rap heavyweights continues with an intense boxing match before taking a humorous turn as they recreate the famous Spider-Man meme, each rapper donning a superhero costume. The video concludes with Drake delivering verses from the rooftop of Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, emphasizing his legendary status as a statue of himself is unveiled.
Fans from both the OVO and Dreamville camps praised the video’s creativity, drawing parallels to the iconic Jay-Z and Nas collaboration in 2002. Drake and J.Cole are set to embark on a co-headlining tour, the “It’s All a Blur — Big As the What?” Tour, starting on January 18 in Denver, Colorado. While the tour primarily focuses on secondary markets, fans expressed excitement about the prospect of witnessing the two rap giants live in action.
Despite some major markets being excluded from the initial run, J.Cole’s manager, Ibrahim Hamad, explained that the tour is a chance to revisit and reconnect with cities that played a significant role in their early career. The tour will conclude on March 10 in Lexington, Kentucky, with Drake performing the final four shows solo.
