Blaqbonez Addresses Age Controversy, Says He’s Far From 40
Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has addressed the ongoing speculation about his age, setting the record straight in a recent interview.
The “Like Ice Spice” hitmaker, whose age has sparked debate online, dismissed claims that he is nearing 40. Speaking with Naija FM in Lagos, the rapper clarified that he is 30 years old.
“I am not close to 40. I am 30,” Blaqbonez said during the interview. He jokingly added, “But I guess that’s closer to 40 than it is to zero.”
The clarification comes after weeks of online chatter and memes about his age, which the rapper has taken in stride, often engaging with fans about the topic on social media.
