Adidas Launches Empowering Campaign: “You Got This”

Adidas has kicked off a new global brand campaign aimed at athletes of all levels, featuring both professional stars like Patrick Mahomes and rising talents like Trinity Rodman, sharing insights on how they manage pressure to perform at their best.

The campaign, launched on February 9, includes a 90-second video showcasing a diverse lineup of Adidas endorsers, including Mahomes, Rodman, Lionel Messi, and others. The initiative, backed by neuroscientific insights from neuro11, aims to provide tangible support for athletes dealing with performance pressure.

Amidst better-than-expected preliminary results for fiscal 2023, Adidas positions itself as a brand dedicated to athletes across the spectrum. The timing of the campaign aligns with major sporting events like the Super Bowl and the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics.

The campaign features a content series highlighting athletes from various sports discussing the pressures they face and the strategies they employ to overcome them. In addition to digital content, Adidas plans events, activations, and out-of-home campaigns to support athletes globally.

Florian Alt, Vice President of Global Brand Communications at Adidas, emphasized the campaign’s goal of restoring joy to sports and empowering athletes with a simple message: “You got this.”

The campaign’s commercial starts with amateur athletes training and competing, transitioning from black and white to color as Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” plays. The voice-over reassures athletes that pressure is manageable, culminating in the empowering message, “You got this.”
