Ari Lennox Parts Ways With Dreamville Records After Public Dispute

Singer Ari Lennox has officially ended her long-running relationship with Dreamville Records, months after publicly voicing frustrations with the label.

According to a report from TMZ, the split was handled quietly behind the scenes. Going forward, Lennox will release her music exclusively under Interscope Records, which is now the only label credited on her latest single, Soft Girl Era.

Neither Lennox, J. Cole, nor Dreamville Records have publicly commented on the departure.

Tensions between Lennox and the label became public last October when the singer took to social media to vent her grievances. In an emotional post, she expressed feeling overlooked and disrespected, saying: “I try to do things the right way and no one takes me seriously. And so we’re here on social media. Again. I’m trying to be respectful but I feel played right now.”

She also criticized the release of her “Smoke” music video, stating she had asked management to withhold it. “I’m tired of people treating me like I’m the face of mental health,” she said. “I’m a human being who has been very transparent about my life.”

Lennox’s exit marks the end of a significant chapter in her career, which saw her rise to fame as one of Dreamville’s standout artists.
