Ariana Grande is mourning the passing of her drummer, Aaron Spears, at the age of 47. Aaron Spears’ wife, Jessica, shared the heartbreaking news of his death. In a poignant tribute, she described Aaron as an exceptionally skilled drummer and a dedicated father to their son, August.
“Aaron was not only an incredibly accomplished drummer, admired by many for his unparalleled talent and passion for music, but he was also a devoted father to our precious son, August,” Jessica expressed.
She continued, “His love, guidance, and warmth were the pillars of our family, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot describe. We are blessed to have him in our lives, and his legacy will live on through the beautiful rhythms he created and the love he shared with us. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
In her own heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Ariana Grande struggled to comprehend the loss, acknowledging Aaron as an extraordinary and bright presence in her life.
“We were all so incredibly lucky to know Aaron. The absolute brightest light of a human being. Always the kindest, always smiling,” she wrote. “I am so honored and thankful that our paths crossed, and to have spent so much very special time together.”
Justin Bieber, for whom Aaron Spears had also drummed, extended his condolences to the family and recognized Aaron’s influence and inspiration on fellow drummers.

Aaron Spears, recognized for his remarkable drumming skills, had performed with various artists including Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, and Lil Wayne.
