Bentley’s New Electric Car to Arrive in 2025 will Feature Self-Driving Tech

Bentley, the renowned British luxury car brand, is entering the world of electric vehicles (EVs) with its first pure electric car, equipped with advanced self-driving technology.

The electric Bentley will feature Mobileye’s SuperVision system, consisting of 11 cameras, also to be used in Porsche’s upcoming Macan EV, allowing for partial autonomous driving on highways with plans for full autonomy through software updates.

Expected to be unveiled in 2025, the Bentley EV is rumored to have a sports coupe design, delivering a powerful output of up to 1,400 horsepower and astonishing acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 1.5 seconds, although a slower version will be available for those who prefer a less intense experience.

Bentley has ambitious plans for the electric era, aiming to release a new electric vehicle annually from 2025 to 2030, supported by a significant investment of $3 billion to upgrade its Crewe factory for the growing EV competition.

Rolls-Royce, another prominent British luxury automaker, is also preparing to introduce its first electric car, the Specter, sharing its platform with the renowned Phantom and Cullinan models.

With both Bentley and Rolls-Royce embracing electric mobility, the luxury automotive industry will experience significant changes, indicating a shift in the EV landscape that other major car manufacturers, like Chrysler and Acura, should take note of for their own research and development efforts.
