In a noteworthy development, several African artists, in addition to Burna Boy, have secured nominations at the BET Awards. This recognition highlights the growing influence and global reach of African music. Among the African nominees are AKA, K.O, and Sampa The Great, who are poised to represent the continent on this prestigious platform.

Connie Orlando, BET’s Executive Vice President of Specials, Music Programming, and Music Strategy, expressed her enthusiasm for this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards.
