Breaking Bad Star Mike Batayeh Dies Aged 52

Mike Batayeh, best known for his role as laundromat manager Dennis Markowski in ‘Breaking Bad’, has passed away at the age of 52. He suffered a heart attack and died at his home in Michigan on June 1, according to his sister who spoke to TMZ.

In a Facebook post accompanied by a throwback photo, Batayeh’s family expressed their sadness and announced his passing. They described him as a beloved brother who brought laughter and joy to many. Funeral arrangements will be shared at a later date. Colleagues and friends of Batayeh have already started paying tribute to the late actor.

Batayeh appeared in several episodes of ‘Breaking Bad’ between 2011 and 2012. His television credits also included roles in popular shows such as ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, and ‘The Bernie Mac Show’.

Hollywood director Rola Nashef remembered Batayeh as a friend to everyone, someone who made people laugh, think, and feel inspired. Yorg Kerasiotis, Batayeh’s co-star in the urban comedy ‘Detroit Unleaded’, described him as a superstar and one of the funniest men he had ever known.

In honor of Batayeh, his family has announced that any donations made will be used to support young people in southwest Detroit. His passing leaves a void in the entertainment industry, and he will be remembered for his talent and ability to bring laughter and joy to those around him.
