Fuel Price Hike: Nigerians Buy the Cheapest Petrol in the World – Eniola Badmus

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has spoken out in defence of President Bola Tinubu amid criticisms over the removal of fuel subsidies in Nigeria. The removal of the subsidy led to a significant increase in the pump price of fuel, reaching N617 per litre.

In a recent conversation with popular media personality Daddy Freeze, Badmus stood firm in her support for the president, emphasizing that Nigeria still offers the cheapest fuel price in the world. She criticized those opposing the subsidy removal, stating that many of them do not understand the benefits it brings to the country.

“A lot of these keypad warriors do not even have an idea of what subsidy is. It was when they removed it that they knew what the government was doing. Even till now, I think we still buy the cheapest fuel in the world,” Badmus asserted.

The 40-year-old actress remained resolute in her backing of President Tinubu, praising him as an exceptional philanthropist. She expressed her admiration for his contributions and philanthropic efforts, declaring him an unparalleled leader in that aspect.

Eniola Badmus’s outspoken support for President Tinubu comes amidst a divided public opinion on the fuel subsidy removal. Many Nigerians have expressed concerns over the impact of the increased fuel prices on their daily lives, while others have defended the government’s decision, citing the need to address economic challenges and fiscal realities.
