Florida Joker Demands $2 Million from Rockstar for GTA 6 “Likeness”

The Florida man who claims to have inspired a character in the GTA 6 reveal trailer is demanding $2 million from Rockstar Games for the alleged use of his “likeness.”

In a video shared on social media, the self-proclaimed “real-life” Joker emphasized his previous statements by comparing the in-game character with a picture of himself. The man repeatedly asserted that the inspiration for the character was unmistakably drawn from him.

“We gotta talk GTA, or not, you guys gotta give me a million or two,” he declared in the video, addressing Rockstar Entertainment.

While the demand has been made, the likelihood of the Florida Joker receiving any money from Rockstar is considered highly improbable. Rockstar could argue that the in-game character is a parody, and past legal cases, such as Lindsay Lohan’s attempt to sue Rockstar over a character in GTA V, ended with the court ruling in favour of the game developers.

In the Lindsay Lohan case, Judge Eugene Fahey stated that the in-game depictions were “indistinct, satirical representations of the style, look, and persona of a modern, beach-going young woman” and were not recognizable as the plaintiff.

As of now, Rockstar Games has not officially commented on the Florida Joker’s demands, and it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold.
