Toke Makinwa Contemplates Legal Action Against Danny Walter Over COP28 Comment

Renowned Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, has issued a legal threat against crypto investor turned influencer, Danny Walter, following his comments regarding her participation in COP28 in Dubai.

The controversy arose when Danny Walter responded to a user, @Hardey0405, who expressed concerns about justifying colonialism. In the exchange, Walter alleged that corrupt politicians took Toke Makinwa to COP28 in Dubai.

In response to @Hardey0405’s comment, Walter stated, “The people in power are not stealing from you? At least white people will steal and build something in return, our own people will steal, carry Toke Makinwa to Dubai and build nothing.”

Toke Makinwa, evidently displeased with the accusation, took to social media to address the matter. She threatened legal action against Danny Walter and questioned the basis of his claim. Makinwa wrote, “Very wild. I hope you have enough proof to defend this tweet of yours because it will be a very interesting 2024.”

In a daring response, Walter challenged Makinwa, stating, “Proof of what? Was your name not on the list or you didn’t go to Dubai? I will be waiting for 2024, dear. Bring it on.”

The controversy surrounding Toke Makinwa’s attendance at the COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai had stirred discussions and disagreements on social media platforms. The legal threat from Makinwa adds a new dimension to the ongoing dispute, setting the stage for potential legal proceedings in 2024.
