Britney Spears’ Childhood Home in Louisiana Hits the Market for $1.2 Million

The childhood residence of pop icon Britney Spears, located in Kentwood, Louisiana, has been put up for sale. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom house where the ‘Toxic’ singer spent her early years is listed for $1.2 million, less than three years after her father Jamie Spears sold it for $289,000. The property, filled with original furnishings and signs of its former famous inhabitant, retains remnants of Britney’s past.

Images obtained by TMZ reveal framed drawings by Britney, including one featuring her name in bright yellow letters atop a house and another reading ‘Jesus Loves Me’. Notably, a mini-shrine dedicated to the boy band NSYNC is part of the sale, alongside a message inscribed on a door that reads, “Christina sucks, Brit rules”. A concrete inscription that says “Love Britney” is also preserved.

The house offers 2,299 square feet of living space set on 1.87 acres of land, still housing the dance studio where a young Britney practiced her skills.

Sources informed TMZ that the decision to sell wasn’t related to the recent release of Britney’s autobiography, ‘The Woman in Me’. In her memoir, the singer reflected on feeling overlooked by her parents, expressing her longing for her father’s unconditional love. Britney described the sense of neglect and pressure she felt growing up, painting a poignant picture of a childhood marked by a yearning for parental acceptance.
