Cardi B Accuses Tasha K of Concealing Offshore Trusts Amidst Escalating Bankruptcy Battle
In a heated legal feud, Cardi B is intensifying her pursuit to recover owed funds from Tasha K, alleging that the controversial blogger is resorting to deceptive tactics by concealing assets in undisclosed offshore trusts.
Legal documents obtained by Radar Online reveal that Cardi B’s legal team is pressing the courts to enforce compliance from Patricia Haynes, known as Tasha K, in response to alleged attempts to evade subpoenas. The Grammy-winning rapper claims that Tasha K and her husband have established offshore accounts not disclosed in their initial Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
Beyond Cardi B’s pursuit of outstanding payments, the failure to disclose these assets is alleged to violate 18 U.S.C. § 152, outlining penalties for debtors who knowingly conceal property during bankruptcy proceedings. If proven, Tasha K could face criminal fines and a federal prison sentence of up to five years.
Cardi B initiated her collection efforts last month, demanding information on all of Tasha K’s assets, including a Georgia property, and her current liquid assets. Additional documents reveal that Tasha K, whose real name is LaTasha Kebe, reportedly holds nearly $30,000 in cash and spends over $20,000 monthly on travel, fine dining, and entertainment.
This development follows a lawsuit by comedian Kevin Hart against Tasha K and his former assistant for extortion. The blogger released an interview with Hart’s former assistant, who alleged the comedian’s infidelity. Hart claimed Tasha K demanded money to prevent the interview’s release.
Cardi B’s recent subpoenas are a continuation of those sent over the summer, where she targeted all five of Tasha K’s current banking institutions, demanding financial information. The subpoenas also include a request for documents and communications related to Tasha K’s finances from third parties, such as the Internal Revenue Service.
