Clive Christian Unveils Rare Absolute Collection in Lagos
The luxury perfume brand Clive Christian has launched its exclusive Absolute Collection in Lagos, marking a significant collaboration with Seinde Signature, one of Nigeria’s leading niche perfume stores. The unveiling took place in a refined setting at the Centre Point Luxury Workspace in Ikoyi, attracting Nigeria’s affluent consumers and perfume enthusiasts.
Renowned globally for its opulence, Clive Christian’s Absolute Collection is celebrated as the pinnacle of the brand’s offerings. Guests at the event were treated to a luxurious atmosphere of soft music, signature cocktails, and gourmet finger foods, setting the tone for the brand’s ethos of exclusivity and sophistication.
At the center of attention was the Absolute Collection’s perfume bottle, surrounded by other Clive Christian classics such as the Anniversary, Noble, Original, and Crown collections. Originally established as Crown Perfumery in 1872, Clive Christian remains the only perfume brand authorized to feature the Royal Crown in its branding, further emphasizing its prestige.
A Bespoke Experience Like No Other
Clive Christian’s Director for Europe and Africa, Tate Torongo, highlighted the rarity of the Absolute Collection, noting its limited availability in fewer than ten locations worldwide.
“This isn’t a perfume you walk into a store and pick up,” Torongo explained. “Each bottle is crafted to the consumer’s bespoke preferences. From the moment an order is placed, it takes about four months for our craftsmen to create the final product.”
The collection offers an unparalleled level of personalization, allowing customers to choose their desired scents and even customize the bottle with elements like diamonds, gold, or emeralds.
Olaseinde Olusola, founder of Seinde Signature, emphasized the exclusivity of the collaboration. “This is a collection that truly caters to individuality. Each bottle becomes a unique masterpiece, reflecting the consumer’s taste and personality,” he said.
A Growing Market for Luxury in Nigeria
Nigeria’s status as a key market for Clive Christian was also celebrated. According to Torongo, Nigerians rank as the second-highest consumers of Clive Christian products in key luxury markets, including the U.S., U.K., and Dubai.
“The Nigerian love for luxury and quality aligns perfectly with our brand,” Torongo remarked. “We’ve seen significant enthusiasm for our products both internationally and here in Nigeria.”
Seinde Signature’s Role in Elevating Niche Perfumes
Seinde Signature’s efforts in positioning niche perfumes as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s luxury market were also praised. Olusola acknowledged the partnership as a major milestone for his brand, which continues to set the standard for niche perfumery in the country.
Notable figures such as fashion designer Mai Atafo and banking veteran Mary Akpobome graced the event, further underscoring its prestige.
The Clive Christian Absolute Collection, with its handcrafted, 100% perfume oil, and iconic bottle design inspired by the British Imperial State Crown, promises to remain a coveted treasure among Nigeria’s elite perfume enthusiasts.
