Coroner Rules WWE Star Sara Lee Took Her Own Life
Former WWE wrestler Sara Lee’s death has been confirmed as a suicide by a coroner’s report. The 30-year-old, who was survived by her husband, former wrestler Cory James Weston, and their three children, died in October last year.
The report revealed that Lee died after consuming a lethal combination of alcohol and pills, and left letters of intent at the scene prior to her death.
She was found to have suffered bruises and abrasions that may have resulted from falls while she was intoxicated.
After her death, a GoFundMe page was set up by professional wrestler Bull Dempsey, raising more than $100,000 for Lee’s family to help with living expenses and funeral costs.
WWE also expressed their condolences on Twitter, acknowledging Lee’s inspiring role in the sports-entertainment world.
