Could Jon Bernthal be set to return as The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again? That is what a new rumor from notable insider KC Walsh claims, with the claim adding that Frank Castle will replace Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, who was initially lined up for an appearance in the standalone Daredevil Disney+ series.
According to the insider, scheduling conflicts (likely due to her leading role in Orphan Black: Echoes) have stopped Krysten Ritter from being able to bring back Jessica Jones alongside Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock.
Instead, another popular Marvel character will take her place, with Walsh providing a pretty major hint over who that character will be.
The return of Jessica Jones has been rumored for some time, with several outlets claiming that she would play a role in the upcoming Echo series before appearing alongside Daredevil in his solo series.
