Diddy Steps Down as Revolt Chairman Amid Sexual Assault Lawsuits

Sean Combs, widely known as Diddy, has resigned as chairman of the media company Revolt TV amidst a series of sexual assault lawsuits against him.

The announcement was made through a statement posted on Revolt’s Instagram page, stating that Combs’ departure from the chairman position is aimed at maintaining the company’s focus on its mission.

The statement reads, “Sean Combs has stepped down from his position as chairman of Revolt. While Mr Combs has previously had no operational role in the business, this decision helps to ensure that Revolt remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora.”

Established by Diddy and media executive Andy Schuon in 2013, Revolt is dedicated to showcasing hip-hop culture and Black voices in the United States.

Recently, Diddy has faced multiple lawsuits and allegations of sexual assault. His former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit in November, accusing him of physical and sexual abuse during their decade-long relationship. Another lawsuit was filed by Joi Dickerson-Neal, alleging that Diddy had drugged and raped her in 1991. A third plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claimed that Diddy and R&B artist Aaron Hall sexually assaulted her and other women at the singer’s apartment in the early 1990s.

Diddy has vehemently denied all the allegations, dismissing them as “fabricated claims” and attempts at “money grabs.”
