Elton John Reveals Struggles with Severe Eye Infection, Limited Vision in One Eye
Legendary British musician Sir Elton John has shared the challenges he’s facing due to a severe eye infection that has significantly affected his vision. The 77-year-old artist disclosed in a personal statement that the infection has left him with “limited vision” in one eye and that the recovery process has been slower than anticipated.
“I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye,” John explained. “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.”
Despite the challenges, Sir Elton remains optimistic about his recovery, expressing hope in the progress he has made so far.
This update comes after the iconic singer announced his retirement from touring earlier this year. His farewell tour, which concluded last year, made history as the highest-grossing music tour, earning $939 million (£749 million) across 328 shows, a record that was recently surpassed by Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour, which crossed the $1 billion mark.
