“Temporary” is a somber, piano-driven ode featuring childhood recordings of Hailie’s voice and a hook by frequent collaborator Skylar Grey. The song is intended for Hailie to listen to after Eminem has passed away, with poignant lyrics like, “So Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song/ To help you cope with life now that I’m gone.”
