Falz Says ‘Hardship’ Is What Comes to Mind When He Hears President Tinubu’s Name
Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has offered a blunt assessment of the current state of the country under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
In a recent interview with Soundcity, the Wehdone Sir artist was asked to share the first thought that comes to mind when he hears the president’s name. His response was direct: “Hardship. No elaboration.”
Falz’s remark reflects growing public frustration over the rising cost of living and economic pressures many Nigerians are facing.
Just last month, during an appearance on Arise TV, the rapper criticised the federal government’s performance, saying the country had regressed since Tinubu took office. While acknowledging that the president still has time left in his tenure, Falz urged the administration to show meaningful progress before the end of its term.
Known for blending music with activism, Falz has been a vocal critic of poor governance, using both his lyrics and media appearances to advocate for accountability and better leadership in Nigeria.
