Galtier Finds Solution to PSG Penalty Taking War By Declaring Mbappe first Taker, Neymar Second
Paris Saint-Germain coach, Christophe Galtier has held a meeting with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar following the penalty fallout that trailed the tam’s team’s 5-2 win over Montpellier last weekend.
In the game, PSG were awarded two penalties in that game. Mbappe stepped up to take the first one and he missed. However, Neymar took the second and converted from the spot despite Mbappe trying to claim the ball from him.
The club wanted to find a quick solution to something that could have become an issue and after Galtier’s meeting with both players, it was decided that Mbappe will be the first penalty taker.
Neymar will take step up in the event there is a second in the same game, as the Brazil international is considered one of the finest penalty takers in Europe.
What hasn’t gone down well at the club was Mbappe’s attitude in that game with Montpellier. Even Luis Campos was surprised by what happened that day.
Meanwhile, Leo Messi will not be one of the first two penalty takers, but the Argentine does not want to enter in this battle of egos.
