Gbemi Olateru: ‘You Have to Lose Home Training to Get Rich and Famous in Nigeria’

Popular On-Air Personality Gbemi Olateru has sparked discussions on social media with her claim that attaining wealth and fame quickly in Nigeria often requires abandoning morals and home training.

In a post shared on her X handle, Gbemi questioned her followers about the type of success they aspire to, suggesting that a lack of shame and ethical compromise are common traits among those who rise to prominence at a rapid pace.

“If you want to be rich and famous quickly in this country, you have to lose your home training/shame/morals. Is that the kind you want, though?” she wrote.

Her statement comes amid the controversy surrounding the alleged affair between singer Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje. Sophia recently accused Burna Boy of failing to buy her a Lamborghini as promised following an alleged intimate encounter.

Gbemi’s comment has since fueled conversations on social media, with many debating the moral implications of fame and wealth in Nigeria.
