Google Unveils Gemini 2.5 Pro, Its Most Advanced AI Model Yet
Google has launched Gemini 2.5 Pro, its most powerful artificial intelligence model to date, designed to tackle complex reasoning, coding, and problem-solving tasks with greater precision.
Announcing the release in a blog post on Thursday, the tech giant revealed that Gemini 2.5 Pro outperforms previous models in key benchmarks and has secured the top spot on the LMArena leaderboard, which ranks AI systems based on human preference.
“Gemini 2.5 Pro is a state-of-the-art AI model capable of reasoning through its thoughts before responding, leading to improved accuracy,” Google stated.
The model has demonstrated exceptional performance in mathematics and science assessments, including GPQA and AIME 2025, without relying on costly computational techniques like majority voting. It also achieved an 18.8% score on Humanity’s Last Exam, a rigorous test designed to evaluate AI’s ability to handle human-level knowledge challenges.
Currently available in Google AI Studio and the Gemini app, the model will soon be integrated into Vertex AI for enterprise users. Google also announced plans to introduce pricing options for large-scale production use in the coming weeks.
