GTA 6 Trailer 2 Drops with Subtle Nod to PlayStation 5
Rockstar Games has released the second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and fans around the world are soaking in every explosive second of it. Nearly 18 months after the game’s first reveal, the new trailer delivers a deeper dive into Vice City’s vibrant chaos – complete with story teases, fast-paced action, and a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo that suggests a strong tilt toward PlayStation.
While the trailer proudly states that the footage was captured on PlayStation 5, one particular scene takes the nod a step further. During a humorous segment featuring a character named Phil promoting his Ammu-Nation store, a distinctly familiar white console with a black core and glowing blue light strip is seen resting beside a TV. Nearby, a controller that closely resembles the DualShock sits on a coffee table – both resembling the PS5 and its accessories without showing official branding.

The placement is subtle but deliberate, reinforcing the trailer’s technical foundation on the PS5 and fuelling speculation that Sony may have some form of early partnership or marketing priority for GTA 6. However, Rockstar has confirmed that the game will also be available on Xbox Series X|S consoles when it launches on May 26, 2026.
There’s still no word on a PC release, a detail that’s becoming typical of Rockstar’s staggered launch strategy – but based on history, fans can expect a PC version to arrive sometime after the console debut.
With anticipation for GTA 6 reaching new heights, this second trailer offers both a closer look at the game’s sprawling world and a subtle glimpse into where Rockstar’s platform priorities might lie – at least for now.
