Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage and American R&B icon Usher Raymond have set off a wave of dating rumours following a recent viral moment at an afterparty in London.
The two artists were seen sharing a playful exchange during the “30 Seconds Challenge” after Usher brought Savage on stage as a surprise guest during his Past Present Future tour stop at the O2 Arena on Wednesday night. The duo performed Savage’s hit track Somebody’s Son, to the delight of fans.
Later at the afterparty, Usher challenged Tiwa Savage to a 30-second freestyle. In a moment that quickly caught fire online, Savage – amid cheers and laughter – joked about their chemistry, saying, “Listen, he loves me,” which sent fans into a frenzy and fuelled speculation that the two may be romantically involved.
“I’m a little drunk! But it’s alright… Are you drunk enough? Usher, are you drunk enough? Listen, he loves me,” she freestyled, drawing loud reactions from those present.
The lighthearted moment has sparked a flurry of social media reactions, with many fans wondering whether the two singers are more than just collaborators.
Tiwa Savage and Usher previously performed together at the Global Citizen Festival in Accra, Ghana, in 2022. However, neither party has publicly confirmed any romantic involvement as of now.
