Huawei Enjoy 70X Announced with Satellite Connectivity and 6,100 mAh Battery
Huawei has introduced its latest addition to the Enjoy series, the Enjoy 70X, in China. This midrange smartphone boasts advanced features, including satellite connectivity and a massive 6,100 mAh battery with 40W wired charging support.
The Enjoy 70X features a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. A pill-shaped notch houses an 8MP front-facing camera, while an in-display fingerprint scanner enhances security.
Huawei added a unique programmable “X button” side key that allows users to quickly access apps, widgets, or contacts for added convenience.
On the rear, the phone is equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring a 1/1.56″ RYYB sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for enhanced photography.
Though Huawei has not officially disclosed the chipset, leaks and benchmarks suggest the device is powered by the new Kirin 8000A 5G. The chipset reportedly features a six-core CPU with three cores clocked at 2.19GHz and three at 1.84GHz, paired with a Mali-G610 GPU and 8GB RAM. Performance benchmarks liken it to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695.
One standout feature is the inclusion of Beidou satellite connectivity, enabling users in China to send and receive SMS messages and images even without network coverage. The phone runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.2.
The Enjoy 70X is available in four colours: Gold Black, Snow White, Lake Blue, and Spruce Green. Pricing begins at CNY 1,799 ($246) for the 128GB variant and goes up to CNY 2,299 ($314) for the 512GB version.
Pre-orders are now open via Huawei’s official store in China, with deliveries set to start on January 10, 2025.
