I Lost My Identity, Dreams After Divorce from Danjuma – Caroline Hutchings
Scottish-Nigerian actress Caroline Hutchings recently opened up about the challenges she faced after her divorce from ex-husband Musa Danjuma. In an emotional post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Hutchings revealed that the end of her marriage led her to lose her sense of identity and abandon her dreams.
Hutchings shared that the divorce forced her to rebuild her life from scratch, grappling with discrimination and rejection along the way.
“I was once a promising makeup artist, hair guru, actress, film producer, and fashion consultant. CEO of Luxury Addict and CEO of Kinetic Media. But I lost my identity and dreams because of divorce,” she wrote.
She further explained, “I walked away from it all for my own sanity. I started my journey from scratch, facing all the fake rumors, discrimination, rejections, and uncertainties at 29+ years.”
Hutchings acknowledged that discussing these struggles is difficult for many women who have experienced similar situations. “A conversation that women who have walked the same path hate to talk about. A bittersweet journey to a place unknown. This is my story,” she added.
Caroline Hutchings and Musa Danjuma were married in 2007 and announced their divorce in 2016 after nine years together.
