M.I and Vector Tha Viper

I Started Beef Between M.I, Vector – OAP, N6

Nigerian on-air personality and rapper Nnamdi Nwabasili, popularly known as N6, has revealed that he played a pivotal role in igniting the long-running rap feud between hip-hop heavyweights M.I Abaga and Vector Tha Viper.

Speaking in a recent interview with Day Genius, N6 recalled that his fiery response to M.I’s 2017 track, You Rappers Should Fix Up Your Lives, stirred tension that eventually spilled into the now-famous lyrical clash between the two rap titans.

According to N6, while several rappers responded to M.I’s track with mild or diplomatic verses, his own diss titled You Should Fix Up Your Life, Too struck a nerve. “When I dropped my reply track, we got into a fight,” he said. “M.I replied me with 18 tweets but didn’t engage in a full rap beef. Still, that moment laid the groundwork for the beef with Vector.”

He added that although he generally avoids conflict with fellow artists, he felt compelled to respond at the time. “That was the only time I ever went at a fellow rapper. I try to keep things friendly, but I’m also crazily talented – so I’m not dragging anything with anyone.”

The M.I–Vector beef would later dominate headlines and hip-hop circles in Nigeria, producing multiple diss tracks and one of the most intense rivalries in the genre’s local history.
