I Was Car Mechanic Before Sydney Talker Signed Me – Singer Khaid

Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, popularly known as Khaid, has shared insights into his path to stardom, disclosing that he took on various menial jobs before being signed to comedian Sydney Talker’s Neville Records imprint.

The 18-year-old singer opened up about his earlier experiences, including working as a painter and a car mechanic at different points in his life, during an appearance on the Hip TV program “Trending,” hosted by reality star KimOprah.

Khaid expressed his belief that he was destined for greatness from a young age, viewing the menial jobs he undertook as integral steps in his journey to success. He emphasized that he always understood that these roles were part of a larger process.

In his own words, Khaid explained, “I see everything as programming. At that time when I was a car mechanic, I knew it was just programmed for me to be there at that time. I knew it was necessary for me to be there at that time. I knew that was not where I was going to be forever. But I just knew it was necessary for me to go through that process either for something that’s coming in the future or something that’s gonna happen at that time.”

Khaid continued by stating that he embraced each step of his journey as a valuable part of his personal and artistic growth. His perseverance and determination ultimately led him to where he is today, realizing his potential as a talented artist signed to Neville Records.
