Iyabo Ojo Opens Up on Why She and Paulo Aren’t Planning Marriage
Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has shared candid details about her relationship with Nigerian music executive, Paulo, explaining why marriage is not part of their plans.
In a recent interview on TVC, the actress revealed that both she and Paulo are content with their current arrangement and have mutually agreed not to pursue a traditional marriage.
“I value my privacy a lot,” Ojo said, adding that their relationship works because they understand and respect each other’s space. “Because of the nature of my work, I’m such a workaholic, and Paulo is also a workaholic. That Igbo man likes to work.”
Ojo explained that there are times she prefers to be alone and has the freedom to do so without it causing issues in the relationship. “Sometimes I just pack my bags and return to my house. We never fight over that because he understands,” she said.
She emphasized that while their bond is strong, neither of them is interested in the formality of marriage. “We don’t want marriage,” she concluded.
The actress publicly confirmed her relationship with Paulo in December 2022, on the occasion of her 45th birthday.
