Jada Pinkett Smith Opens Up About Tupac Shakur as Her Soul Mate

Renowned American actress and talk show host, Jada Pinkett Smith, has revealed her profound connection with the late rapper Tupac Shakur. In a recent interview with media personality Christal Jordan, Jada Pinkett Smith candidly discussed her unique bond with Tupac, describing him as her “soulmate.” This revelation comes despite her 19-year-long marriage to actor Will Smith.

While many have speculated about the nature of her relationship with Tupac, Jada Pinkett Smith clarified that their connection was not rooted in romantic love. She emphasized that there was no romantic “chemistry” between them, dispelling any misconceptions surrounding their friendship.

The actress and mother of two offered insights into her deep and enduring connection with Tupac Shakur, highlighting the profound impact he had on her life and how their relationship transcended traditional romantic partnerships.

Pinkett said, “Tupac was my soulmate… If there’s such a thing as past life, I definitely think Pac and I have travelled a few together.

“It just was impossible for us to take it beyond the friendship level. There was no chemistry between us. What we had was friendship love chemistry, trust me.

“I wish I can get people to understand the repelling nature. It was almost like God made us that way like, ‘Y’all gonna be a dynamic duo. Y’all not going to be able to get together.’ Because that wasn’t the purpose.”

It should be recalled that Pinkett recently disclosed in a clip from her forthcoming NBC News primetime special with Hoda Kotb that she and her husband, Will Smith have been living separately since 2016.
