Kanye West Urges Donald Trump to Free Diddy
American rapper Kanye West has publicly called on former U.S. President Donald Trump to grant a pardon to embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious legal troubles.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, Kanye made a direct appeal, writing, “@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff.”
Diddy is presently in custody in New York, awaiting trial on federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. He is also facing over 30 civil lawsuits related to allegations of sexual assault and misconduct.
Authorities arrested the hip-hop mogul last September on suspicion of sex trafficking and transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. Despite pleading not guilty, his bail request has been denied twice.
Reports recently surfaced that Diddy was briefly hospitalized in Brooklyn for a knee injury before being returned to his jail cell. His trial is expected to commence later this year.
