Amid public controversy surrounding her ex-partner Darius Jackson, Keke Palmer is displaying resilience and humour, sharing candid moments on Instagram. The multi-talented artist posted a video on the platform featuring herself with Darius’ son in the kitchen, accompanied by a candid and humorous caption addressing the challenges in her life.
“When reality TV makes everyone believe all celebrities are just one big marketing strategy and scheme, but my life is truly unravelling at the seams, and I just wear trauma like a Dolce & Gabbana coat because Sharon didn’t raise no [expletive],” she wrote.
Keke Palmer’s mother, Sharon, also became part of the public narrative last month when an alleged phone call between her and Darius Jackson surfaced online. In the call, Sharon made claims about Usher’s sexuality, accusing him of being gay.
Sharon can be heard expressing concern about Darius Jackson’s alleged harassment of her daughter and resorting to offensive language. She mentioned an incident that had sparked issues between the couple publicly: a viral clip of Keke Palmer dancing with Usher during the singer’s Las Vegas residency earlier this year.
In response to the circulated audio, Sharon Palmer clarified on Instagram that she had fabricated the claim about Usher’s sexuality for her daughter’s safety, citing it as a strategy to deter Darius Jackson from allegedly abusing Keke.
Keke Palmer had come forward with allegations against Darius last month, asserting that she had experienced multiple instances of assault during their two-year relationship, some of which occurred in front of their son. She has since been granted a temporary restraining order against Jackson, along with sole custody of their child. A hearing to determine the permanence of the restraining order is scheduled for this month.
