Kyrie Irving Sees His Suspension Extended

After having to replace Steve Nash as head coach, the Brooklyn Nets continue to be embroiled in chaos as Kyrie Irving’s suspension has been extended.

As reported by Marca, Jacque Vaughn has been hired as the new coach, and he confirmed that Irving will sit out at least one more game.

He won’t play in Sunday’s match against the Los Angeles Lakers as the fallout continues from his relaying of a film that is considered antisemitic on Twitter.

Irving Has Already Missed 5 Games
Kyrie Irving was initially suspended for five games by the Brooklyn Nets organization.
He refused to apologize for the incident on Twitter and didn’t accept he could possibly have been antisemitic.

As such, the Nets have decided to ban Irving for a further game, despite the fact he was eligible to return.

This decision has set tongues wagging throughout the NBA, especially with some high-profile executives wondering if he will indeed ever play in the league again.
