Manchester City Will Extend Phil Foden’s Contract Until 2028

Manchester City midfielder, Phil Foden is on the verge of renewing his contract with the club until 2028.

The official announcement on his contract extension is expected to be made public in the next few days.

The last deal that he signed back in 2018 saw him earn £30,000-a-week.

However, according to Daily Mail, the England international will be earning £225,000 a week when his new contract comes into force.

Pep Guardiola and the club have placed their confidence in Foden, who is considered one of the most talented English players.

In 2021/22, he won Premier League Young Player of the Season award for the second time in a row after scoring nine goals and registering five assists.

He also played 11 Champions League matches, netting three and assisting another two.

Foden joined the Manchester City academy when he was 8 years old.
