Mohbad’s Father Denies Involvement in Nurse’s Case
Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Mohbad, has dismissed claims by his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, that he prevented the arrest of the nurse who administered an injection before the singer’s death.
During an interview on February 19, 2025, Wunmi alleged that Aloba intervened to stop authorities from taking action against the nurse. However, in a TikTok live session on Tuesday, Aloba refuted the accusation, insisting he had never met or spoken to the nurse.
“I have never set my eyes on the nurse. If I had seen her, it would have been on the internet. I never had any conversation with her at all,” he stated. “I have never mentioned the nurse since I started narrating what happened to Mohbad that night. I didn’t see any nurse present there, and nobody introduced the nurse to me.”
Aloba’s remarks come just hours after a Lagos State Magistrate Court cleared singer Naira Marley, socialite Sam Larry, and PrimeBoy of any involvement in Mohbad’s death. Meanwhile, the nurse implicated in the case is set to stand trial.
