Naomi Osaka Knocked Out, Unsure of Wimbledon Participation
Japanese professional tennis player, Naomi Osaka, who withdrew from the 2021 French Open whilst citing struggles with her mental health has been beaten by Amanda Anisimova and is currently considering not playing’ at Wimbledon based on the current situation
Osaka was beaten in straight sets of 7-5 6-4 by 27th seed Anisimova. It should be recalled that the 20-year-old had beaten Osaka in the third round of this year’s Australian Open and was a French Open semi-finalist in 2019.
The next challenge for Next up for Anisimova is world No 100 Donna Vekic in the second round.
