Nollywood Awaits Debut of Heman-Ackah’s Political Drama “Finding Messiah”
Excitement is brewing in Nollywood as fans eagerly await the release date of “Finding Messiah,” the debut film by Ghanaian-Nigerian media mogul Oscar Heman-Ackah.
The five-minute teaser released in March offered a glimpse into the film’s world – the fictional nation of Zambay grappling with political unrest. The story appears to mirror real-world struggles, resonating with Nollywood audiences.
The teaser’s length and production value, particularly the set design and music score, have garnered praise for Heman-Ackah. The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring Nollywood veterans like Pete Edochie, Ngozi Ezeonu, and Segun Arinze, alongside rising stars like Bucci Franklin.
Heman-Ackah himself takes on multiple roles, credited as writer, director, executive producer, and even composer of the film’s acclaimed music. Building the world of Zambay proved a significant challenge, according to Heman-Ackah, who emphasized the importance of creating a believable fictional environment.
While principal photography wrapped in January, the official release date for “Finding Messiah” remains under wraps, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the film’s arrival.
