Odumodublvck: “Music Has Done Nothing for Me”

Nigerian music sensation Odumodublvck has sparked a conversation with his candid remarks about his relationship with music, stating that the art form has not done anything for him beyond reflecting the effort he has invested in it.

In a recent interview, the singer described music as a “reliable friend” but was quick to clarify that he does not love it. In a video circulating on social media, Odumodublvck shared his perspective, emphasizing that music only delivers results proportional to the work he puts into it.

“I don’t love music,” he said. “But music and I are friends. I like you (music), and one thing I know is that you’re a stand-up guy. When you say you’re going to do something, you do it. You meet me at the point of my effort.”

The artist went on to explain that his success in the industry is a direct outcome of his dedication, rather than any inherent favors granted by music itself.

“Whatever work you put into music is what you get out of it. Music doesn’t cheat. But to say I love music? No, no, no. Music, on its own, has not gone out of its way to do anything for me. It’s my work that makes it reciprocate, and I’m fine with that. Music shouldn’t have a problem with me saying I don’t love her.”

The comments have drawn mixed reactions online, with fans and industry observers debating the nature of passion and effort in the creative arts. Some have praised his honesty, while others questioned how such a perspective aligns with his craft and success.

Odumodublvck, known for hits that have resonated across Nigeria and beyond, continues to chart his unique path in the music world, unafraid to voice unconventional views about his artistry.
