Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, has set the record straight about his appearance at the recent LASU concert organized by socialite Poco Lee. The buzzing rapper addressed the speculations and reactions surrounding a viral video where he was seen “running away” from the crowd during the event.

On July 13, 2023, Poco Lee, a popular Nigerian dancer, hypeman, and socialite, hosted a headline concert at his alma mater, Lagos State University. The event brought together an exciting lineup of artists from across the country to entertain the students. Notable performers included Bella Shmurda, Young Jonn, Yhemo Lee, Hotkid, Smada, and Odumodublvk, among others.

However, the concert took an unexpected turn as videos surfaced on social media, showing instances of rowdiness and even violence among the crowd. In one of the clips, Odumodublvk was captured jogging away from the scene, leading to online trolling and banter by Nigerian Twitter users, who poked fun at him for seemingly fleeing from danger or “cultists,” despite his bold and confident personality.

In an effort to clarify the situation, the Headies award nominee appeared as a guest on Cool FM’s The Big Friday Show. He explained that the video did not accurately depict the situation. Contrary to popular belief, he was not “running away” but simply making a quick exit from the crowded area after concluding his performance.

During the interview, Odumodublvk also discussed his upcoming album, which is set to release this year and will feature a total of 14 songs. He has already dropped tracks like “Declan Rice,” “Dog Eat Dog (Remix)” featuring Bella Shmurda and Santi, and “Fire Gun” featuring Fireboy DML. These releases have garnered impressive streaming numbers and further solidified his position in the Nigerian music scene.

Notably, the rapper received a significant endorsement from English Premier League team Arsenal for the signing of English football playmaker Declan Rice.
